Ella Peter

Ella Peter, a talented Navajo silversmith, was born on April 2, 1943, in the Tsa-ya-toh area of New Mexico on the Navajo reservation. From a young age, she learned the art of jewelry making and basket weaving from her father. With over 45 years of experience, Ella has honed her skills to become a master silversmith. She currently resides in Mentmore, New Mexico, where she continues to create beautiful pieces of jewelry.

Carico Lake Turquoise:

The Carico Lake mine, named after the dried-up lake bed in Nevada where this unique material is extracted, produces a diverse range of turquoise colors, from dark blues to light greens, with some stones featuring yellow or dark blue "water" webbing. The most sought-after variety is the intense apple green material, identified as faustite—a cousin of turquoise that contains higher levels of zinc, resulting in its vibrant color. Read More

Understanding Our Measurements

The 'end to end' length listed for Squash Blossom necklaces is measured from clasp to hook and does not include the 'drop' of the Naja. For a more accurate length reference, model photos are provided. Additionally, Naja measurements are also included to give a complete view of the necklace's dimensions.

When Can I Expect My Order to Ship?

We don't like to wait for our online orders & feel you shouldn't have to either. We ship Monday through Friday and strive to process orders within 24 hours. Most orders placed by 4:30 PM are shipped the same day. Please note that during peak seasons, like Christmas, shipping may take a bit longer. When you check out, you should see an estimated delivery date. If you have any questions or need to confirm shipping times, feel free to call or text us!

Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?

We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
