Aaron Toadlena

Aaron, a seasoned Navajo silversmith from Gallup, NM, has devoted decades to perfecting his craft, which he sees as a "blessing" from a higher power, enabling him to provide for his family through the art of fine Navajo jewelry. Steadfast in his dedication to tradition, Aaron creates each piece entirely by hand, choosing not to use casting techniques. Instead, he works exclusively with sterling silver, shaping it with tools similar to those used by his ancestors. His designs feature high-quality natural turquoise and other fine stones, evoking an era when authenticity and artistry were paramount.

For Aaron, creating jewelry is a holistic process; he ensures he is aligned mentally, emotionally, and physically before he begins each piece. His work has been celebrated in prominent publications such as *Cowboys & Indians* and *Oprah Magazine*, and he has collaborated with esteemed artist Ray Tracey. Aaron’s jewelry, distinctly Navajo and highly collectible, embodies his deep connection to his heritage and a profound respect for the silversmithing tradition.

Kingman Turquoise - Arizona

The Kingman Mine, located near Kingman, Arizona, is an active turquoise mine that has been in production since the 1880s, following its discovery by S.A. Colbaugh in the Aztec Mountains. The Colbaugh family continues to mine, process, sort, and distribute Kingman Turquoise. Most Kingman Turquoise is porous and requires processing for jewelry, with only about 3% of the stones being naturally hard enough for direct use. The mine is renowned for its blue matrix turquoise. Coral

While often mistaken for a gemstone, coral is actually composed of the skeletal remains of tiny marine creatures known as coral polyps. Among the various shades of coral, the bold red hue of blood coral stands out for its striking beauty. This deep red color carries deep significance for many Native American cultures, often representing a connection to the ocean, which is viewed as the Earth’s lifeblood in numerous legends. Read More

Understanding Our Measurements

Inside circumference measurements listed for cuff bracelets represent the total inside circumference, including the gap. When selecting a cuff bracelet, keep in mind that the gap allows for some flexibility in sizing, as cuffs can be gently adjusted for a more comfortable fit. Cuffs with multiple stones may be adjustable on a case-by-case basis. If the listed measurements do not meet your needs, we recommend inquiring about adjustability before purchasing. Improperly adjusting cuffs can compromise the stone settings.

Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?

We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
