Darryl Becenti
Darryl Becenti was born in Gallup, NM, in 1957 and learned the art of silversmithing from his brothers-in-law, David and Leroy Reeves. In addition to silversmithing, Darryl also practices sand painting and creates pencil and ink art. As a master Navajo silversmith, he is related to renowned artists such as Sunshine Reeves, Gary Reeves, David Reeves, Andy Cadman, and Darrell Cadman. However, due to his geographical separation from many of these artists, his work can be more challenging to find.
Darryl began crafting jewelry in 1988, transitioning from his earlier career as a sand painter. His pieces, like those of his family, are highly sought after for their intricate hand-stamped Navajo designs, repoussé techniques, and heavy silver gauges. He has created custom jewelry for prominent figures in Hollywood and notable country music artists.
Darryl's work is exceptional in every detail, featuring finely crafted sterling silver pieces adorned with premier stones. He has made his own stamps and dyes, often incorporating stunning motifs like stars, fans, scallops, shells, and intricate appliqués on his bracelet cuffs. When he isn't busy with silversmithing, Darryl enjoys drawing detailed wildlife scenes with pencil, pen, and ink. He ensures that the turquoise used in his jewelry is always of the finest natural quality.
Dry Creek Turquoise - Nevada
The Dry Creek mine, also referred to as Sacred Buffalo turquoise, is a small mine located in Lander County. It was discovered by the Shoshone Indian tribe in the early 1990s. Dry Creek turquoise is particularly known for its unique pale shades, resulting from a lack of heavy metals in the area. The mine is closed in the mid 1990s. Read More

Understanding Our Measurements
Inside circumference measurements listed for cuff bracelets represent the total inside circumference, including the gap. When selecting a cuff bracelet, keep in mind that the gap allows for some flexibility in sizing, as cuffs can be gently adjusted for a more comfortable fit. Cuffs with multiple stones may be adjustable on a case-by-case basis. If the listed measurements do not meet your needs, we recommend inquiring about adjustability before purchasing. Improperly adjusting cuffs can compromise the stone settings.

Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?
We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
