Tommy Jackson
Tommy Jackson, born on January 20, 1958, in Phoenix, Arizona, grew up in Chinle, Arizona, nestled in the heart of Navajo land. His upbringing near the iconic Canyon de Chelly profoundly shaped his artistry and deepened his connection to Navajo culture, which emphasizes the importance of family and clan responsibilities. As a world-renowned gold and silversmith, Tommy is celebrated among the elite artisans known as "The Supersmiths."
He began his journey in silversmithing in 1973, learning the craft from his parents, Gene and Martha Jackson, both respected silversmiths themselves. Although he briefly pursued a career in education, teaching elementary school on the Reservation, his passion for jewelry-making never waned. By 1988, Tommy was gaining significant recognition, winning awards at prestigious events like the Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Show.
Tommy's work often incorporates motifs inspired by traditional Navajo rug designs, seamlessly blending these patterns into his metalwork. He highlights high-grade American turquoise, utilizes heavy-gauge silver, and employs traditional techniques such as chiseling and hand-stamping. This approach results in pieces that reflect a fusion of traditional Navajo aesthetics and modern sensibility, making them highly sought after by collectors and frequently featured in national publications.
Throughout his illustrious career, Tommy has received numerous accolades, including First Place at the Indian Market as recently as 2014. Together with his wife, Marie, who assists in stone-cutting, Tommy Jackson continues to create breathtaking jewelry that honors his heritage while showcasing his exceptional craftsmanship.

Understanding Our Measurements
Inside circumference measurements listed for cuff bracelets represent the total inside circumference, including the gap. When selecting a cuff bracelet, keep in mind that the gap allows for some flexibility in sizing, as cuffs can be gently adjusted for a more comfortable fit. Cuffs with multiple stones may be adjustable on a case-by-case basis. If the listed measurements do not meet your needs, we recommend inquiring about adjustability before purchasing. Improperly adjusting cuffs can compromise the stone settings.
