Larimar
Larimar is a rare semi-precious gemstone found exclusively in the Dominican Republic, known for its blue hues and smooth surface often marked by white lines or spots. This gemstone ranges in color from bluish white to deep blue, with possible shades of green, turquoise, violet, or indigo. Discovered in 1916, Larimar is sourced from a unique rock formation within a volcano near Barahona. It is often used as a more affordable alternative to Dry Creek and Golden Hills turquoise, making it popular among jewelry makers for its striking appearance and versatility. Read More

About Marilyn Platero's Navajo Pearls
Navajo pearls by Marilyn Platero are a stunning blend of traditional style and contemporary craftsmanship. Known for her impeccable attention to detail, Marilyn strings her pearls on foxtail chain and finishes the ends with soldered clasps for added durability. Her use of machine-made beads provides a uniform and consistent appearance compared to handmade options. The use of machines also allows her to create pearls that range in size from 4mm. Unlike other machine-made beads, Marilyn's have a substantial weight and feel, adding to their quality and appearance. Her beads are oxidized and buffed by hand by Navajo artist Bronson Belone.

Understanding Our Measurements
Necklace lengths are measured from end to end, including the clasp. For necklaces featuring extension chains, the length is measured from the clasp to the shortest option. There for if an extension length is listed it is in addition to the listed necklace length, allowing for adjustable sizing.
