Raymond Bennett

Raymond Bennett, a Navajo silversmith from Gallup, New Mexico, has been crafting jewelry since 1994 and remains deeply connected to his hometown roots. Taught by his family, including his parents and uncles, Raymond developed a strong foundation in traditional silversmithing techniques that he has refined over the years. His talent and dedication to the craft are highlighted in Barton Wright's *Hallmarks of the Southwest*, recognizing his significant contributions to Native American jewelry.

Using the hallmarks "R. Bennett" or "Ray Bennett" since 1978, Raymond established his reputation as a skilled artisan early in his career. His role as the resident silversmith for Atkinson's Trading Company further solidified his influence in the jewelry community, where his pieces are celebrated for their authenticity and craftsmanship.

Sonoran Turquoise: Mexico

Sonoran turquoise, mined from the Campitos Mountain near Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. This region produces several distinctive types, including Sonoran Gold, known for its vibrant colors like aqua blue, lime, and two-tone blue and green with a golden-brown matrix; Sonoran Rose, a natural bright blue turquoise; and Sonoran Blue, valued for its hardness, shiny pyrite flakes, and black oxide veins.

When Can I Expect My Order to Ship?

Most orders placed by 4:30 PM are shipped the same day. Please note that during peak seasons, like Christmas, shipping may take a bit longer. When you check out, you should see an estimated delivery date. If you have any questions or need to confirm shipping times, feel free to call or text us!

Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?

We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
