Bobby Johnson
Bobby Johnson is a respected Navajo silversmith based in Church Rock, New Mexico, a community known for its rich tradition of Native American jewelry-making. As one of the "elders" in the silverworking community, Bobby is highly esteemed for his expertise and production skills, often sought after for guidance by fellow artisans.
Bobby’s journey in silversmithing began in the early 1970s, learning the craft from his older siblings, who are also skilled silversmiths. Growing up in a family dedicated to this art, he developed a profound love for working with silver and turquoise that has only deepened over the years. Now in his sixties, Bobby remains as productive as ever, creating unique designs that blend traditional techniques with his personal style.
His pieces are celebrated for their quality and craftsmanship, earning him a loyal following among collectors of Native American jewelry. Bobby’s passion for his craft ensures that his creations will continue to be cherished for years to come.

This deep red color carries deep significance for many Native American cultures, often representing a connection to the ocean, which is viewed as the Earth’s lifeblood in numerous legends. Read More
