Murphy Platero
Murphy Platero is a talented Navajo silversmith known for his distinctive jewelry, which is featured in numerous fine galleries. His one-of-a-kind pieces showcase his unique stamp work and incorporate the finest turquoise stones, which he personally selects. Born in Crownpoint, New Mexico, Murphy comes from a lineage of craftsmanship; his mother, a respected Native American silversmith, is renowned for her exquisite stamped feather jewelry. Under her guidance, Murphy learned the art of silversmithing and has honed his skills over the years. One of his standout designs is called "Rainwater."
Sonoran Turquoise: Mexico
Sonoran turquoise, mined from the Campitos Mountain near Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. This region produces several distinctive types, including Sonoran Gold, known for its vibrant colors like aqua blue, lime, and two-tone blue and green with a golden-brown matrix; Sonoran Rose, a natural bright blue turquoise; and Sonoran Blue, valued for its hardness, shiny pyrite flakes, and black oxide veins.
Spiny Oyster:
Spiny Oyster is a vibrant shell material commonly found in orange, red, and purple hues, with rare yellow variations. The colors are influenced by the mollusks' diet and the water's depth and temperature. It can be distinguished from coral by the white variations in its shell. Predominantly sourced from the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California), Spiny Oyster is used extensively in Native American jewelry. Read More

Understanding Our Measurements
Inside circumference measurements listed for cuff bracelets represent the total inside circumference, including the gap. When selecting a cuff bracelet, keep in mind that the gap allows for some flexibility in sizing, as cuffs can be gently adjusted for a more comfortable fit. Cuffs with multiple stones may be adjustable on a case-by-case basis. If the listed measurements do not meet your needs, we recommend inquiring about adjustability before purchasing. Improperly adjusting cuffs can compromise the stone settings.
