Wild Horse

Wild Horse stone, also known as Crazy Horse Stone or Appaloosa Stone, is a captivating metamorphic rock that forms when magnesium-rich rock interacts with a carbonate-rich solution. Characterized by its white magnesite base and distinctive brown mottling, it often contains hematite inclusions, enhancing its visual appeal. First discovered in the mid-1990s near Globe, Arizona, Wild Horse is notable for its challenging extraction process—material must be hiked out over a mile through rugged terrain, which adds to its rarity. Although sometimes referred to as White Turquoise or Wild Horse Turquoise, it is important to note that Wild Horse is not actual turquoise. This semiprecious stone is frequently used in Native American jewelry and designs, reflecting its cultural significance. With a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale, care should be taken in setting, polishing, and wearing Wild Horse pieces to maintain their beauty
