Lydia Begay
Lydia Begay was born in the Navajo reservation town of Jeddito, Arizona. She belongs to the Red Water and Edge Water Clan and began her journey in silversmithing during her teenage years. Inspired by her father, who was also a silversmith, Lydia would watch him work as a child. She later attended classes on the reservation to further hone her skills. Passionate about her craft, Lydia embraces her artistic path with deep respect and gratitude.
The New Lander mine, located in the Bullion District of Northern Nevada, produces some of the finest quality Variscite, characterized by a bold spiderweb matrix that contrasts beautifully with its vibrant colors, ranging from whitish to light green with orange and yellow hues. Variscite is a lesser-known gem that belongs to the chalcosiderite group, closely related to turquoise. It is often confused with turquoise due to similar markings and the shared geographical locations where both are found.

Understanding Our Measurements
The 'end to end' length listed for Squash Blossom necklaces is measured from clasp to hook and does not include the 'drop' of the Naja. For a more accurate length reference, model photos are provided. Additionally, Naja measurements are also included to give a complete view of the necklace's dimensions.
When Can I Expect My Order to Ship?

Most orders placed by 4:30 PM are shipped the same day. Please note that during peak seasons, like Christmas, shipping may take a bit longer. Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?
We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
