Vernon Begaye

Vernon Begaye was raised on the Navajo Reservation in a family deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship. His parents, Jimmie and Ella May Begaye, were both traditional silversmiths, and his mother also wove Navajo rugs. Growing up in this rich artistic environment allowed Vernon to explore his talents from an early age. While he initially focused on traditional designs taught by his parents, he soon began to cultivate his own unique style, which has garnered him numerous awards.

Vernon is renowned for his ability to blend contemporary jewelry designs with traditional materials and techniques. His work is distinguished by unique finishing touches that set his creations apart. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and has studied at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, CA, along with additional coursework at Mesa Arts Center and Mesa Community College in Phoenix. These experiences, coupled with his interest in computer-aided design and urban architecture, influence his modern sensibility.

His intricately patterned inlay jewelry pieces exemplify a harmonious fusion of traditional Navajo artistry and contemporary design, showcasing both his heritage and innovative spirit. Through his work, Vernon Begaye continues to honor his roots while expanding the boundaries of Native American jewelry.

When Can I Expect My Order to Ship?

Most orders placed by 4:30 PM are shipped the same day. Please note that during peak seasons, like Christmas, shipping may take a bit longer. Am I Buying Authentic Native Jewelry?

We prioritize honesty and transparency regarding the origin of our jewelry. Each piece on our site includes a detailed description, and if an item is not native-made, we clearly indicate that. While we do offer a small selection of imported jewelry, we do not support the importation of pieces that replicate original native designs.
